Custom Insights

Custom Insights allows you to create and manage reports. You can save, rename, and share report configurations with other users.

Roles and Permissions

  • Any user can create and view custom insights.

  • Admins and report owners can rename, update, or delete reports.

Save as Custom Insight

You can save the current configuration of a supported usage/governance insights report as a Custom Insight and reuse it later.

Custom Insights are supported for the following reports:

  • Views

  • Objects on views

  • Objects not on views

  • Objects not on specific views

  • Objects and relationships

  • Object relationship count

  • Objects completeness

  • Guest users

  • Roles and permissions

  • Roles and users

  • Surveys

To create a Custom Insight,

  1. Configure the report as needed.

  2. Once done, click the Save as custom insight button in the top bar.

  3. Enter the name of the new report in the pop-up.

  4. Click Save to confirm it.

After you save your first report, the Custom insights section appears in the left pane. This section displays all saved custom insights.

Each custom insight report displays metadata in the top bar, including the owner, created date, last modified date, and supported insight.

Update the custom insight

You can update the report after making changes to the configuration. When you finish your changes, click Update in the top bar.

The Update button appears only when the report contains unsaved changes.

Custom Insight Actions

Rename Insight

Admins and report owners can rename a Custom Insight. Report names must be unique within a tenant.

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Rename custom insight.

  3. Enter a new name in the dialog and confirm the change.

Transfer Ownership

Admins and report owners can transfer report ownership to another user.

To transfer ownership:

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Transfer ownership.

  3. Choose or search for the user from the list.

  4. Click Transfer ownership to confirm the action.

Delete Insight

Admins and report owners can delete a Custom Insight. When you delete a report, the system removes it for all users.

To delete a report:

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Delete custom insight.

  3. Confirm the deletion.
