Create a new architecture view

  1. Click the Main menu and select the Views tab.
    โ€‹

  2. Click the Create new view icon Create_new_view.png.

  3. Select the Architecture view type.

BlueDolphin allows users to choose from the list of our premade templates when creating a new Architecture view:

  • Capability Architecture

  • Project Application Design

  • Project Process Design

  • Project Technology Design

  • Capability Canvas

  • Business Model Canvas

  • Project Delivery

  • Project Data Design

  • Customer Journey Map

  • C4 Methodology Project Delivery

  • Team Canvas

3. From the selection of available templates, click the one that you want to use for your new view. In case you want to start modeling from scratch, select Blank instead.

A new Architecture view based on the template will be created. You can change the name of the view in the text box on the far left of the toolbar.

More information on the available templates and how to make the best use of them can be found in this blog.

Make a view private

You can make a view private using the lock button next to the view title.

Only the owner of a private view can open it. Other users' private views are not shown in the list of views for an object.

An administrator can preview, transfer ownership, or delete other users' private views from the Main menu > Admin > Views.

If any existing view is linked to a project, you cannot make it private. If you attempt to do so, the system displays an error message indicating that the view is already connected to the Project and cannot be made private.

If you still want to make the view private,

  1. Disconnect the view from the project

  2. Change the view from public to private.

This ensures that project-linked views remain accessible to relevant stakeholders while still allowing you to control privacy when needed.
